Nadine Velazquez was born and raised in Humboldt Park Chicago to Puerto Rican parents. Growing up in a very religious family, Spanish Christian music was at the center of everything she listened to, which was heavily influenced by salsa. Immersed in worship songs, she fell in love with the sounds that defined her culture.
Although she has always had a great affinity and passion for music, it was her career as an actress that took precedence. Her breakout role as Catalina on NBC’s ‘My Name is Earl’ quickly became a hit. Her prominence in Hollywood continued in ascension with roles in both film and TV.
Recently, she appeared on ABC’s ‘QUEENS’ embodying the role of Valeria, a member of a popular 90’s girl group alongside musical heavyweights Brandy and Eve. It was this role that reawakened her passion for music.
She is currently collaborating musically with Grammy award winning writers and producers Claudia Brandt (Luis Fonsi, Ricky Martin), Josh Cumbee (Madonna, Selena Gomez), Chaz Mishan (Anitta, Rita Ora), Amerika Jimenez (Anahi, Gloria Trevi), Alih Jey (Jennifer Lopez, Maite Perroni), El Dusty (Toy Selectah, Ana Barbara), and more.
Nadine’s music is propelled by diverse Latin styles that blend with soul, pop, and celestial sounds that seek to embody feminist and spiritual themes meant to awaken the badass divine feminine within.
